Is going on a vacation and tour the same thing?

So, I thin the answer must be D.

It should be : have gone on to a months vacation.

Except is followed by to.

"to" is not essential here according to me the correct answer is no error since when to is added to the sentence it doesn't make any sence.

Yes brother to is not necessary here, option D is right answer because on a month vacation is a right sentence not on a month's vacation.

I don't think "to" is required here.

In place of have there will be has as we consider always the nearest form to the verb. And here his daughter is singular so we should use has instead of have.
