If "Being the eldest son" is right, then the person that is mentioned after that must be the son not "his father".
For example: Being tired, I decide to take a rest.

When son is already being mentioned above, implies that is a male.

The answer is A. Because, in 'A', as it a clause, there is no necessity of a subject 'He'.
