The word "thoroughly" is complete in itself that there is no use of writing "so" with it.

I think its "so thoroughly'. Why to use SO before thoroughly. When thoroughly itself stresses the sentence.

We discussed the problem thoroughly is the right answer, because discuss and about have the same meaning.

Discuss is a transitive verb and therefore takes a direct object. We need not use any word after discuss.

A is perfect. But what about c ?
Shouldn't it be " that I found very easy to work it out" ?
Shouldn't it be " that I found very easy to work it out" ?

Option A is correct as we don't need to use 'about' here. But there is no problem with 'so' in option A.
