I don't understand what is "COMMON" here. First row, 3rd col is overlapse of 1st and 2nd.

In each column, i.e c_1, c-2 and c_3 the two fig of common part exit in 3rd fig.

Look at it like, around black dot with short arms. If the short arm appears in the first two box positioned the same way, it does not make it to the third box. In this case, both arms are not positioned the same way in the two boxes, so they make it to the third.
