I think the answer is 3 because it is not symmetrical, while the others are.

Yeah exactly, 3rd has odd leaves, others have even. So, it is the answer.

It's obvious to the eye that there is no regular pattern (symmetry).

Yes, the correct answer is third one as it has odd number of loops.
