Its vertical shaper machine which tool reciprocates top to bottom containing pinion cutter as a tool while the workpiece ie., internal gear is set to cut internal gear.

The opinion gear must be harder than its rack gear, it's required harder cutter for machining. But when we want to machine an internal gears it's (rack gear), so just shaping it with rack cutter.

How is it possible to make internal gears with a pinion, I have heard of broaching operation.
