The internal gear is a gear with its teeth cut in the internal surface of a cylinder and meshes with spur gears. In its manufacturing, because of its shape, the usual hobbing machine used in spur gear production cannot be used. Generally, it is made with gear shaper (or gear shaping machine) equipped with a pinion cutter.

Internal gears can be cut by gear shaping pinion cutters and also by broaching and single point tool cutters. But broaching is expensive operation thus avoided. By milling cutters, it is not possible. The hobbing machine can't produce internal gears.

According to my knowledge, we can cut Internal gears with shaping with pinion cutter.
Please watch some videos on youtube maybe you people also clear your doubt.

The opinion gear must be harder than its rack gear, it's required harder cutter for machining. But when we want to machine an internal gears it's (rack gear), so just shaping it with rack cutter.

An internal gear having one side blind is produce by pinion cutter. And broaching is done on hollow internal gear. Broaching is more economical and fast then shaping by pinion cutter.

In my point of view answer is shaping with rack cutter. Because with the help of rack we can easily cut inner part. But we cannot cut through pinion cutter if gear is small.

Its vertical shaper machine which tool reciprocates top to bottom containing pinion cutter as a tool while the workpiece ie., internal gear is set to cut internal gear.

Except for shaping with a pinion cutter above all used for external gear cutters, shaping with a pinion cutter is used for internal gear cutters.

Answer B is correct. But it is not confirmed also generated by form milling. But according sequence B is correct.
