Facing Operation is done on the Lathe machine by adjusting tool post angle. At 45 Deg. This operation is done to get the good flat surface it may be cylindrical or square work piece.

Facing is the operation which is to reduce length of the component whereas turning is to reduce diameter of the component.

Option B -> knurling.
Option C -> grooving.
Option D -> facing.
