Option A -> beveling or chamfering.
Option B -> knurling.
Option C -> grooving.
Option D -> facing.

Facing is done to produce flate cross-sectional surface. Tool mounted at 45°.

Facing Operation is done on the Lathe machine by adjusting tool post angle. At 45 Deg. This operation is done to get the good flat surface it may be cylindrical or square work piece.
