Valve arrangement merely depends on no of cylinders, Each cylinder can use two valves (one exhaust one intake) or Each cylinder can use four valves (2 intake and 2 exhaust).

Three valves can also be used as per requirement of the vehicle.

I think two valve is the right answer, but in RS Khurmi fuel injector is considered as a valve. But exactly it is injector, not a valve.

I think the answer is two valve is right because fuel injector injects through nozzle.

I know only 2 valves in engine but according to R. S KURMI there is three valves. The third one is fuel injector valve.

Diesel engine has valve ranging from 2-8. And valves are used only for intake and exhaust purpose.

Even no of valves have equal no of intake and exhaust valve. And in odd no exhaust valve is one less then intake valve.

Two valves (inlet & exhaust), but injection is by port(injector nozzle).

So, diesel engine has two valves.
