Because Velocity ratio of differential pulley is 2D/D-d.

2D/D-d.
Let's put the values.

2*100/100-80.
200/20.
10.

Velocity ratio of pulley = 2D/D-d.

Velocity of second pulley is wD1-wd2/2.

Velocity of first pulley is wD1.

Now v1/v2 = wD1/(wD1-wd2/2) = 2D1/(D1-d2).

For differential pulley:

VR = 2D/(D-d).
= 2*100/(100 - 80).
= 10.

VR = Two of larger diameter dividing to larger diameter minus smaller diameter.
