When the body is in motion the friction is called dynamic friction and when the body is in rest the friction is called static friction.

The friction experienced by a body in motion is known as dynamic friction. The body enters into motion when the force acting on it is greater than the limiting friction.

Dynamic friction is the type of friction that now exists between the contact surfaces. The limiting static friction is always less than the dynamic friction.

Why not it should be a rolling friction?

Please explain me.

Friction is two types:
1. Dynamic friction, and
2. Static friction

Dynamic friction is also two types;
1. Rolling friction and
2. Slide friction.

When two bodies are moving in different directions an letter tend to come close or slide toward each other, it means there is a frictional force between them. Since the two Bodies are motion is dynamic friction.

The friction has two types:

1. Dynamic friction.
2. Sliding friction.

Dynamic friction applied on the body in motion.
Sliding friction applied on the body in rest.
