The correct answer is mild steel.

Here's a breakdown of the different types of steel based on their carbon content:

- Mild steel: up to 0.15% carbon.
- Medium carbon steel: 0.15% to 0.60% carbon.
- High carbon steel: 0.60% to 1.4% carbon.
- Dead mild steel: not a standard term, but sometimes used to describe steel with very low carbon content (around 0.05-0.10%).

So, steel containing up to 0.15% carbon is indeed known as mild steel.

Mild steel is correct answer:

Wrought iron - <0.05.
Dead steel - 0.05-0.1.
Mild steel - 0.1-0.3.
Medium carbon stee - 0.3-0.7.
High carbon steel - 0.7-2.1.
Cast iron -2.1-4.3.
Pig iron - 4.3-6.67.
Iron ore - 6.667>.

Dead mild steel is a type of mild steel having carbon up to 0.15%.

Since C% is specifically mentioned (up to 0.15%)So, calling it dead mild steel is more precise.
