Incorrect. Because it is brittle material. If we applied shockloads it will be broken.

Cast iron has very good damping property, besides it is not having good toughness. More the tougher material more shockloads it can absorb.

Cast iron is mostly used in the industries to absorb the vibrations. Cast iron is good damping capacity.
