It is designed for transmit 150% torque for design purpose But in actual working it transmit better power.

It is completely basic physics. Clutch works on the principle of friction. From basic physics we have Torque = Force*Perpendicular distance. And we know that frictional force will increase upon increasing the applied force. So indirectly frictional torque will increase.

If we design a clutch for the required torque then there is a chance of slip. SO, it is designed for the higher friction.

While we change the torque. What else will vary?

Its for factor of safety.

Clutch is not used to provide torque to engine but it is used to step up the torque which is provide by the engine.

How to increase the engine torque by clutch?

While designing weight of component, manufacturing time and life of component are also matters along with (FOS) i.e Factor of Safety, and by calculations every values are considered.

If we take 200% or 175% of course it will require more material due to the strength i.e. more weight. So, by calculations 150 can be acceptable.

Yes factor of safety matters in this query and because 150 % we should understand it logically considering the FOS. Instead of 100% or even 175 200 etc.

Maximum torque need for wheel drive so it is design high torque.

Why the torque is 150 percent?
