Let's differentiate between the subjects. Women need to do some action and India as a nation should do other action. Options A and D logically mean the same, only when there is a concern of liberation by the hands of the nation or a powerful party as in the passive voice of option D. Though the part of freedom (in D) is not mentioned in the paragraph, it is self-evident. The Progress of the nation now comes in the picture with the reference to Napoleon's utterance about education being the premise to developing the nation. Now, the point being the mention of word 'India' appears to weigh option A. Still, it states neither about the education nor about freedom. In this case, option D seems mostly positive.

D is the correct choice. For the reason, the paragraph in the first statement it is clearly written "let us hope that they will justify their abilities by rising to the occasion" so in opt D saying "to prove their worth". One can prove one's worth and can contribute to the country's development only by justifying one's abilities. I hope my point will clear the doubts of this logic.

The Paragraph speaks about 'educating a woman can bring progress to a nation'. It does not speaks about 'equal rights' to women in any part of the paragraph. Hence surely option 'C' could not be a answer. The line 'their abilities by raising to the occasion' substantiate that Option 'D' is the right option.

Acc 2 me the answer c is more accurate than the D option as the involvement of the "50% of their population " and the phrase "equal rights and opportunities as men" in the answer C make it distinguishable than D and even more accurate. Please provide some extra points, if the answer D is the right answer.

@All.
I think C is meant to be the right option.
Theme Detection doesn't always use the exact same word from the passage it's up to us to decipher the meaning, that being said nowhere in the passage does it tell us that women haven't been "imparted freedom".

Answer should be A or B.
A because the 1st line on para says future of women of India is bright why it is bright? because India is striving hard for their emancipation.
Also, all women should be educated is also correct.

Its D. Because the first sentence clearly states that women should justify their abilities which they can do so by giving them full freedom to education in relation to Indian culture.

I think the answer should be B. The passage does not talk about the rights of women. It talks about importance of education for women. The Napoleon example strengthens this point.

Even I feel that the option should be C as according the first line that women should justify their abilities it implies if given equal rights they can rise to the occasion.

I think answer will be option (C) because by following passage it is clear that any country will progress if women will participate.
