Statements: The T.V. programmes, telecast specially for women are packed with a variety of recipes and household hints. A major portion of magazines for women also contains the items mentioned above.

Conclusions:

  1. Women are not interested in other things.
  2. An average woman's primary interest lies in home and specially in the kitchen.
Only conclusion I follows
Only conclusion II follows
Either I or II follows
Neither I nor II follows
Both I and II follow
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, nothing about 'other things' is mentioned in the statement. So, I does not follow, Also, since it is mentioned that programmes and magazines for women are stuffed with kitchen recipes and other household hints, it means that women have special interest in these areas. So, II follows.

But nothing is mentioned about the interest of women. So how one predict it. I think the answer should be E.

D. How can we be sure, that it is a primary interest? I mean. It is smth like essentials. Women 'destiny'. If I would start asking women whether washing and cooking their primary interest I doubt that many of them would confirm it.

Firstly the PRIMARY INTEREST no where mentioned in the statement!it is an assumption! secondly the word AVERAGE cannot be considered!

Nothing about the interests of an average woman is mentioned in the statement. So how can somebody clearly state that only condition II follows?

D should be the right answer. There's nothing about an 'average women's interest ' mentioned in the lines. You can't just assume that women like these. It's a stereotype.

If women magazines, TV Programs telecast something that doesn't necessarily means it's of women's interest.

D is the right answer here.

If the statement states successful or popular women's magazines for women contained those items, then option B would be justified. As it states correctly, however, there is an underlying and unwritten assumption that magazines written for women accurately reflect their interests.

B option is the correct one since the primary interest of women lies in-home and especially kitchen hence the tv programmes are based on the primary interest of women and the same applies to magazines.

D should be the correct answer as nothing is specified in the statement about type of women.
