Statements: Any young man, who makes dowry as a condition for marriage, discredits himself and dishonours womanhood.
Conclusions:
- Those who take dowry in marriage should be condemned by society.
- Those who do not take dowry in marriage respect womanhood.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, the statement declares dowry as an evil practice and reflects its demerits. Thus, conclusion I follows. Also, it is given that those who take dowry dishonour womanhood. This implies that those who do not take dowry respect womanhood. So, II also follows.

According to me, only 1 follows because there can be another reason other then dowry that can disrespect women.

The directions clearly say beyond any reasonable doubt, which goes to say, neither of them can be concluded clearly. He need not be condemned by society as he has already discredited himself, and the conclusion assumes that there are no other causes for dishonouring motherhood.

I think only option 1 is correct because too many reasons can be there to dishonouring womanhood.

I do have doubt. The person who do not take dowry may not necessarily respect womanhood. And also in first collusion, as statement reflects "Discredits himself" but conclusion follows "Should be condemned by society", but why the word "should" be there as it has already been discredited by society.

But what about the other causes of dishonoring womanhood? One can not take dowry and disrespect womanhood by an other action.
