In my view.

Statement gives a strong statement that there a decline in the Newspaper but it has no supporting statement indicating that it is a matter of concern. So marking op<A> would be an assumption. So the correct answer is 'D'.

Hope this helps.

Clearly, A should be the correct answer as words like 'alarming decline' and 'as a result' as been used. Also, the decline in newspaper readers has been clearly mentioned so it should he some context.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong.

Clearly A because the second statement does state how watching of TV has led to reduced readership of newspapers.

Here I have got a doubt about choice A because it has mentioned in the statement about the decline in the readership of the newspaper.

Please explain about it.

Initially I also thought that "A" should be the answer. But the given statements if thoroughly examined don't give any implication about the hazards of watching TV or the benefits of reading news paper.

So, I think this should be taken simply as a statement and not as a problem that needs to be tackled.

So, "none of the conclusions follows".

In the last line of statement it is saying that decline in extent in readership of newspaper. So 1st should be the conclusion.

Please explain it why one is not the answer ?

A/c to the statement both 1 and 2 conclusion are valid as it speaks both about the impact of the TV and as a result there is a decline in the readership of newspaper.

So, I guess correct answer is E.

I think the answer should have been "A".

AS A RESULT and ALARMING DECLINE indicate that instead of the increasing viewership of TV the writer is more concerned with the result decline in newspaper readership, which he/she finds ALARMING. The writer has not linked the increase of TV viewership with health or something related but only the decline in newspaper readership. So, drawing a conclusion should also lay stress on readership. If one is alarmed by something, one has to take steps to invert the act, in case to increase the declining readership.

Yes it is very much difficult to discuss on this, every different person may deduce their own views.

No there is no relevant connection between two arguments, so neither one nor two follows it.
