Statement: Kartik left for Delhi on Tuesday by train to attend a function to be held on Friday at his uncle's house in Delhi.
Assumptions:
- Kartik may reach Delhi on Wednesday.
- Kartik may reach Delhi before Friday.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, it cannot be deduced as to which day Kartik would reach Delhi. But Kartik has left for Delhi to attend a function to be held on Friday. So, he must have planned his journey to reach Delhi before Friday. Thus, only II is implicit.

He may reach on Wednesday or Before Friday. So, option 3 is right according to me.

He left for Delhi on Tuesday he may reach on Wednesday or before Friday. So option C might be the answer.
Either on Wednesday or before Friday both cannot be possible because before Friday means he might reach on Thursday too. Correct me if I am wrong.

Agree @Deepak.
Since it's mentioned may instead of will, there is a possibility for Kartik to reach Delhi on Wednesday itself.

Both statements seem correct. As the first statement uses "may".

E, statement doesn't rule out the possibility to arrive on Wednesday.

@Harpreet.
The question doesn't say he left FROM DELHI but it says he left FOR DELHI.
And my doubt is that it is perfectly possible that he may reach Delhi on Friday itself to attend the function which might be in the evening.
