43.

Statement: Provide mid-day meals to the children in primary schools to increase the number of students attending schools.

Assumptions:

  1. Mid-day meals will attract the children to the schools.
  2. Those children who are otherwise deprived of good food will attend the schools.

Only assumption I is implicit
Only assumption II is implicit
Either I or II is implicit
Neither I nor II is implicit
Both I and II are implicit
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Providing mid-day meals would attract more number of children as an added privilege and not because the children are deprived of good meals at home. So, only I is implicit.

I think that mid-day meals attract people who can't afford food. This makes the statements 1, 2 are implicit.

Mid-day meals are free services to these impoverished children, so even if they get good meals at home, they would obviously have to spend for it, whereas in these schools, there are no expenses for food, so that may attract these children to attend school.

I too believe both the options are implicit.

Yes even I think that's true. Both should be implicit.

I think both is implicit because in 2nd statement they have stated that that otherwise deprived children will get good food hence they are talking about the poor children. So both must follow.

I believe both are implicit. Because only those students would get attracted who are deprived of good food. Hence resulting in the increase of number of students.

But here it is said that providing mid-day meals will increase the number of students coming, so all the economically deprived students will come to school if they are getting mid-day meals, I think both the options should be correct, because in both the cases students are increased.
