In each question below is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered I and II. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement.

- (D) If neither I nor II is implicit
- (E) If both I and II are implicit.

|False. Nowhere in the statement does it say that the government is currently engaged in efforts to control terrorist actives. In fact, it specifically uses the word "would"--how long [it].
WOULD take to contain. Terrorist activities". This actually implies that the government has not yet involved itself in attempting to control the terrorist activities. For assumption II to be correct, the statement should have used "will" instead of "would".

|Agreed with @Eric. That statement could have been made during a terrorist activity containment planning scenario, where the feasibility of the plan was simply being analysed. There's no indication that such a plan was already underway.|

The answer is D (Neither I nor II is implicit).
