Statement: Should all the annual examinations up to Std. V be abolished?
Arguments:
- Yes. The young students should not be burdened with such examinations which hampers their natural growth.
- No. The students will not study seriously as they will get automatic promotion to the next class and this will affect them in future.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, neither the students can be burdened with studies at such a tender age, nor can they be left free to take studies casually, as this shall weaken their basic foundation. So, both the arguments follow.

How could yes and no answers (which contradicts each other) be both correct ? should not it be the case for using "either".

I don't think they should be abolished. They can be made optional and may not be the basis of promoting a child to the next level. But again when I was in std 5 I dint find the exam overburdening. Its the fault of the parents that they send their children for tuition at such a tender age. They should take care of their studies themselves and allow their kids to take it easy by not forcing them.

I think annual exams upto 5th must be conducted. Then they will get adusted for reading such an enormous syllabus at a time in the future. In our state andhra pradesh the students are the most hard working students in our country. The no of intelligent people may be less but no. Of hard working people are more. For an example see the IIT rank every year. Majority of the top ranking students are from andhra pradesh. The reason is the student will be polished from the eaarlier classes itself.
