Statement: Should high chimneys be installed in industries?

Arguments:

  1. Yes. It reduces pollution at ground level.
  2. No. It increases pollution in upper atmosphere.
Only argument I is strong
Only argument II is strong
Either I or II is strong
Neither I nor II is strong
Both I and II are strong
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Pollution at ground level is the most hazardous in the way of being injurious to human and animal life. So, argument I alone holds.

The Upper layer pollution affect the Ozone layer.

Both the points are valid there, A does not seem to be the right answer.

It is either of the two arguments.

Pollution in the upper atmosphere is equally hazardous.

According to me, the right answer is Option (C).

As far as I think, pollution at the ground or in the atmosphere is hazardous.

So, it is Option E.

For me, the answer will be C.

I think the given option A is right answer because the pollution at ground level causes more effect to living things than upper pollution.

The answer is C because the chimney is also polluted upper atmosphere which directly impacted on the ozone layer.

If the smoke is released at upper atmosphere. It will eventually deplete the environment at ground level. Pollution will deplete the entire atmosphere. So, Shouldn't B be the answer ?

In the thermal power plant it should be noted that the height of chimney is considerable at a constant height not to be bigger so that it causes the atmospheric press high.

So 2 statement is not correct I think 1 be the best option A.

Both argument are strong. Definitely long chimneys will reduce pollution at ground level, on the other hand it will significantly pollute upper environment, and eventually toxic in the form of rain will show it's hazardous effect.
