So, D is the right answer.

Because dumber difference is 2.

Here roman convert in no ...that mean - 5, 8, 9, 14, ?, 20.

i.e, 5 * 2 = 10 - 1 = 9
8 * 2 = 16 - 2 = 14
9 * 2 = 18 - 1 = 17.

As 5, 8, 11. 14, . , 20 so as from 5 and 8 there is difference of 3 and the same follows 8 and 11 also it means each number has the difference of 3 so after 14 if we will add 3 to it we will get 17 means (d) is the option.
