D is the right answer. You need to know the difference in a 'cause' and an 'effect' before answering this one.

Cause means the reason why something has happened effect is the result.
In this question, I think statement both A and B are effects of something.

We have to understand that in the question tea as a substitute of coffee is not given. So we can't assume it to be. Just avoid this and you will get C answer.

If more amount of tea is being exported to the European countries then we will have less amount of tea with us which will result in the consumption of coffee as a substitute.

If we export more of tea, less will be available in the domestic country. Due to this the price of tea will rise, so demand for it will fall and hence people will demand more of coffee (substitute for tea).
