Well, as we considered "there are no shortcuts to get success".
So, the first need is to do hard work (put extra efforts) and get deep knowledge & experience and then try to stable with doing smart work (less effort with intelligence).

My view is that.
If we apply only physical power to achieve our goal can say hard work but if we apply both both physical and mental power to achieve a goal can say smart work.
For example.
If our goal is to cut a tree but if we cut a branch of a tree then it is said to be hard work but if we cut directly the base of the tree can say smart work.
Smart work saves a lot of time rather than hard work.

Sir, I would like to give an example- consider if X amount of work is done in particular time then the same amount of work could be achieved in less time with the help of some ideas or modification in process. Which will not only reduces the time and load but also increase s efficiency? And that is the main difference between both.

Hard work is when you put every detail in you work and create a perfect result.
Smart work is when you apply shortcuts in your work and the result is 100%.

Smart work is something you do with your intelligence, presence of mind thats what we feel it's better than hard work, whereas in hard work we need to put lot of effort to achieve that goal.

I would like to say that both of the works get completed with the use of brain and effort.
Smart work needs more brain to applied than to the effort and I'm of that kind.
