Hard work is doing a particular work with physical abilities, lot of time and it is a tedious work.
Smart work is applying mental efforts rather than physical work to reduce time and energy. It is the work in the creative way to get more results.

Till today from all my past experiences I have learnt that smart work is a tree and hard work is its roots without it cannot stand a chance. A person doesn't wakes up one day and become Dhoni or Warren Buffett.

Time and Pain are main difference between hard work and smart work.
For example; Sending a message to our friend through post is hard work and through mobile is smart work.
One more example, cooking a dish is hard work whereas order the same dish in Swiggy is smart work.

When any task is assigned.
Hard work is we don't know what exactly we are doing, during the process we explore and it gives us experience and the other hand, smart work is exact way of taking the task to a higher level which comes from experience.
