Hard work is doing a particular work with physical abilities, lot of time and it is a tedious work.
Smart work is applying mental efforts rather than physical work to reduce time and energy. It is the work in the creative way to get more results.

Hard work means I am spending more time to finish any work. Planning is less however physical effort is there to finish any work.
Smart work means I can finish my work with good planning or mental effort to reduce the time on completing any work.

According to me, both hard work and smart work are important in everyone's life. The situations that you are facing should decide the type of the work that you need to do. The hard work needs effort and time but smart work doesn't need any effort.

In my childhood, I use to do hard work because at that stage I don't know the difference between both and I use to mug up all the things. But now in this stage, I know how to utilize my time and learn things very quickly. So, now I do Smart work.

Hard work is long term process but it is the standard part to develop a company.
Smart work is the short term process it can develop a company as fast it can. But in my point of view both hard work and smart work is needed to develop a company.

There is no smart work without hard work. Having said that I stick to the saying "If I have to cut a tree within 10 hours, I would sharpen my knife for the first 9 hours". So, knowing where to put effort and where not to work hard is smart work.

To become successful we need to do both hard work as well as smart work.
Hard work takes a lot of time, effort, patience and energy but we can definitely reach our goal.
On the other hand, Smart work can be done from the experience of hard work.

Before doing work smartly. You need to be a hard task master. Because if you don't do any any hard work then you are unable to get a clear picture of your future goal. After getting your future goal then you can do work smartly by using tricks.

Hard work and smart work are slightly related because Without putting hard work, efforts we are unable to get a smart way to work better. Soo I think hard work is more important to get experience then it provides a way to work in a smart way.
