Hard work - lets take an example of examination, if a person is studying all the modules in the syllabus is called hard work.

Smart work - if the same person understand the pattern of the question paper and find the important question that are repeated over a few years that's smart work.

Smart work and hard work go hand in hand.

Smart work comes inside hard work. If you were first a hard worker then only you can be a smart worker. If only hard work was enough then the rickshaw person would be the most successful and richest. For smart work you need to do hard work first.

H.W makes work longer, more complex and energy consuming.

S.W is like intermediate take very less time for completing work and more often it makes your task more simpler than what actually it is and save your valuable energy, which may allow you to do more work with the same energy uses.

In my opinion, it depends on the situation. If we have less than we used smart work or if we have a lot of time than we used hard work.

For Example: if we destroy the building and we have lots of time so we can use more labour in it. OR If we have less time so we can use machines on it.

Hard work means working hard no matter what we should finish the work successfully was as smart work is making some plan to finish the work in an easier way and quick, but the work should be completed successfully both hard work and smart work are 2 mantras which take us to top position.

Smart work is the result of hard work; to master the quality of smart work, one needs to work hard. Through hard work, we gain experience, which helps us discover new things, which in turn helps us work smartly. The effort is important, but where to make that effort makes a difference.

Yes, a small difference is there between hard work and smart work. i.e, if we want success, we work hard. When we feeling so difficult to do that work is hard work. But if we encourage our brain and body like "I can do this "to overcome that fears of difficulties is called smart work.

No matter what if you do hard work or smart work, you have to use your brain you can't just right anything that is going on your mind, so you are wrong people who thing that only smart work is brainy work. Hard workers use their brain, that's another thing if they don't understand it.

Hard work is the way of working where someone said you do it this way no matter that is taking time but smart worker will see correct and less time consumable way of working. EG: You need to carry something heavy where you can ask for help would be smart move rather carrying it alone.
