Confidence is an innate virtue in every individual. It is one of the building blocks of one's personality.

Now, coming to the question asked; confidence is when you know you are capable enough for any kind of work. Most importantly, it's when you believe in yourself. Overconfidence is when you feel that you're better than other, which is self destructive in some circumstances.

After taking some initiatives, realizing that the desired task is possible is confidence. Assuming that someone will help and makes our life better without even taking a risk is overconfidence. Though it works out for fewer people.

Confidence says I have the ability to crack this interview but on the other hand, if I think that I definitely crack this interview shows my overconfidence.

A person should be confident with their decision but not be overconfident.
