Well, sir according to me if the person who should have some goals and the content within the goal should be predetermined for him that is the indication of confidence.
On the other hand, any of the person who should have some goals but he doesn't know that how to execute that goal and how to perform on that goal but still he is doing that work that is the indication of overconfidence.

Confidence and OverConfidence certainly depends on the outcomes of the effort. If one succed, we say he is confident and vice versa.
