When you do something about which you're sure, it is confidence.
When you do something about which you're not sure and giving statements based on emotions, its overconfidence.

Sir, there is a slight difference between confidence and over-confidence. I'll explain with an example "I can do this" is confidence whereas "Only I can do this" is over-confidence.

Confidence is ruled by knowledge experience and interest in the work with having the scope of learning and experiencing something new. Wheras overconfidence is ruled by the thoughts of having all the knowledge and experience, and negligence about the work with having no scope of learning anything.

Sir, my opinion is that. I will explain with you example.
"My answer is right"-it refers to confidence.
"My answer is always right" -refers to self-confidence.

Confidence is " I can do this work " and overconfidence is " only I can do this work ". Like we are here for the job interview think " I will get this job is a confidence " and " only I will get this job is an overconfidence".

Well! I believe achieving your targets without forecasting it and just keep the target in your mind and believe that you can do is confidence.
Whereas only talking about the success and thinking about the steps but not working hard to achieve the target is overconfidence?

According to me,
Confidence is Which you can do in your ability.
Overconfidence is you have no ability to do the work but you challenge.
