Confidence means it comes with your own abilities and past success and the decision will be right.
Overconfidence means excessive belief with your own abilities and the decision can be wrong too.

After taking some initiatives, realizing that the desired task is possible is confidence. Assuming that someone will help and makes our life better without even taking a risk is overconfidence. Though it works out for fewer people.

When you know that you are worthy to do that work and your skill defines that saying I can do that is confidence.
When you don't know about the work and still say that I can only do the work is over confidence.
