Confidence comes from your practice and hard work and from being practical and calculated.

Over confidence originates from your attitude and negligence of others.

Sir, I think 'confidence' is when you have a goal, you work hard for that and believe that I can do it.

But when you do nothing for your goal and still believe that I can do it then this is called 'overconfidence'.

CONFIDENCE - Shows knowledge.

OVER CONFIDENCE - Shows fake attitude.

CONFIDENT PERSON is be like 'I can do' on the other hand OVER CONFIDENT PERSON is be like ' only I can do'.

Confidence : when I am saying I am capable to do this work.

Overconfidence: when I say I am only capable to do this work not other.
