According to me, Confidence is when we feel sure about our actions and make the right decision.
On the other hand, Over Confidence is excessive belief in our abilities.

If someone says that I speak English well, then this is confidence.
But if someone says that no one can speak better English than me, then this is overconfidence.

The best and simple example to explain the difference is that.
If I think I can do this work, it is called confidence.
But If I say, I am the only one who can do this work is called over confidence.

Confidence is a combination of "believe" and "hardwork".
Overconfidence is only belief.
Overconfidence is only belief.

The difference between confidence and over-confidence is
For example, I am an employee in the company my boss assigned me work and said submit work on time. Then I can do this work and submit given time is confidence.
Only I can do this work and submit given time is overconfidence.
Confidence always gives a positive attitude, Positive thinking and overconfidence give over attitude and negative thinking.
