First, the hiring manager is trying to see if you understand the differences between pressure and stress. Pressure should be viewed as a positive motivator while stress is negative and harmful when it occurs too often. Next, the employer will want to hear about an example of a time you were under pressure and rose to the occasion to complete a task. This is a great question to bring up your past experiences.

Points to Emphasize.

Bringing up relevant skills and experiences is an excellent way to address this question so that the hiring manager does not think you are just answering "Yes" purely because you think that is the best answer.

Discuss a time when you were under pressure to finish something and succeeded.

Talk about how pressure makes you a better worker.

Relate your past experiences to what will be expected of you in this new position.

Recognize the fact that pressure is, in fact, a part of the job.

There is nothing wrong with feeling pressured, and some people actually thrive under it. Assure the interviewer that when things get tough, you will be able to handle it.

Mistakes You Should Avoid.

Although feeling pressured is not ideal, you still need to tackle it head-on and avoid falling into these common traps and mistakes when asked this question.

Don't say that there has never been a time where you felt pressure.

Don't confuse pressure with stress and talk about a time you were overly stressed out.

Avoid talking about a time where feeling pressured was a result of your own actions.

Don't portray pressure in a negative light.

It is okay to feel pressure every now and then, and a hiring manager will want to know that when a lot is being put on your plate, you will face it with enthusiasm.

As a fresher, I am not aware of any situation of pressure in an office environment.

Pressure is just a state of mind. So I never feel such pressure which affects on my work. And when I feel pressure I do just relax myself.

Moreover, pressure is an integral part of any job either it is the hard or soft job.

But I will definitely do best to avoid any pressure cause from my side. As a fresher, I am not aware of any situation of pressure in an office environment.

But I feel I am positive thinker and have positive attitiude if get a chance to work under pressure I will do my level best because my best comes out from it.

Why should we work under Pressure & Stress? We are supposed to perform our activities systematically & strategically. Mindfulness and peace are of utmost importance while doing any job for better output.

If we have to work under pressure, what is the use of so-called ITIL, Quality Management and other Leads?

A Team feeling pressure denotes that either the management is unskilled or inexperienced.

Or the employee does not have the required skills for the job assigned.

So leads should focus on assigning the right job to the right candidate.

If the question, is about the ability then Yes, I am able to work under pressure and get the work completed as per the expectations. However I would prefer to enjoy my work and get it completed in the best way I can because working under pressure increases stress, stress makes way for health issues which in turn may reduce my output. On the other hand, working under pressure has a positive point also that it makes you acquainted with your new abilities, enhances your skills and you tend to handle new challenges.

"Yes sir/ma'am, I believe I can work effectively under pressure. During my last semester, I had a challenging project that had a tight deadline. Despite the pressure, I managed my time efficiently, prioritized tasks, and ensured effective communication within our team. We successfully completed the project on time and received positive feedback from our professor. I see pressure as an opportunity to push my limits and grow, and I'm committed to improving my ability to handle high-pressure situations. ".

Yes, I can perform under pressure. When we are doing something, we are learnt so many things, like how to complete work on time, how to handle any kind pressure. Basically we learnt how to manage time and our brain is very active at that time so it help to enhance skills. According to me, to handle any kind of pressure we need two key. First is calm and another is planning. If we planning for something then we can easily handle any kind of pressure but we need to be calm for it.

Yes, sir, I can work under pressure. Pressure is a part of any job, but I approach it positively.

By staying organized and focused, I can manage tasks efficiently, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising the quality of my work.

For example, during my time on the graphic designing committee, I was often given tight deadlines to complete posters for social media.

By staying calm and passionate about my work, I was able to deliver high-quality designs on time.
