With Media Publishing and Telecasting Trivia, Censorship is the Need of the Hour

As we talk about whether should journalism out of the reach of premise of censorship or not. First we may have to consider some facts that in a democratic country like India we can not black out media because media tells us what the happening around us.

And if we put censorship on journalism then it will be the violation of right of expression. But on some sensitive issues like communal riots, national security, sexually content, we have to limit freedom of journalism by putting censorship.

Thus we came on the conclusion that we have to limit the freedom of journalism by only putting censorship on some issues like sensitive and national security.

Media is the most powerful tool if people of the nation use it in a right way. Now-a-days there are very few news channels or paper which actually give us news and relevant information. There are some news channel which give us irrelevant news which do not increase our knowledge and they do it just to increase their TRP rate. Same thing is with the news paper. How many of us know about the news channels which give some informative real news. For such cases censor board should step forward and take initiative to stop such things.

Not only this there are some channels which are not at all informative and can deprive the mind of young ones. For them censorship should be used.

What role the media is playing in our lives or in building up of a nation is no more a secret today. Be it the Anna Harare's Lock pal bill or the recent 16/12 case. The role that media had played cannot be ignored on any grounds. But the unfortunate fact is that today the primary function of media that is to deliver the truth has taken a backseat. Generally the main reporters being send to cover some major fashion show whereas the smaller ones are being send to cover the story of the suicidal case of a farmer. Has the media forgotten that its a news channel and not a fashion channel ?

Censorship is required to make media realize their long forgotten duty.

Media has a great impact on our share of mind. It motivates and influence our thoughts and actions. It has much potential to instill evil and bad behaviour as it has to teach humanity and good thoughts. Hence, censorship becomes necessary in today's era. Though our constitution guarantees freedom of speech, it also put restrictions on certain contents to protect unity, integrity and national harmony.

Few examples of censorship are the ban in Salman Rushdie's book "The Satanic Verses", the transsexual movie "Gulabi Aaina". And I believe that this censorship is required given the sensitive society of various communities and religion in which we live.

I'm Ananya, as per my point of view censorship is very important in media. First of all media is introduced only to convey or deliver good news and also some entertained things like dance, serial, music, etc. But what about our current situation in this media? It is totally like drainage, which is caused by unwanted bad things. So automatically we will effect by disease. We should clean this by using censorship. Now a days this kind of bad things leads to many crime. The movie created now is mainly based on wrong activities this influence the people to do the same.

So my request is there should be a censorship.

Like two sides of a coin everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. Media in today's world does everything it can to improve its popularity, it is looking at an issue with an idea of making money rather than depicting what really has happened. Sensationalism is something that must be checked quickly, media is trying to create unwanted attention to some of the current issues. But still a world without media will be like living in the dark. I would seriously recommend not to have a bad opinion about media because except a few a lot of media individuals are dealing with issues with great sensitivity.

Yes, today censorship is the need of the hour, today everyone talks about corruption the top most issues and a challenge for India, which needs to be eradicated so that our country develops in a true sense. The different political parties playing political game in name of development has become a party game played in a parliament. When we talk of us, the youth would not like to participate in modern democracy because the people involved have made it dirty so friends lets think about it, listen some news about our politicians and the news of the happenings of political game thank you friends.

First of all we should know that what is right and what is wrong. Media is of very important status in world, it fills up the motto of "let the truth prevails". We know that with the help of the media we are able to know what is happening around us in this world. About the science, politics, sports, medicine, economy. We know the early warnings about any disasters. It helps to improve our knowledge. But some peoples are making wrong use of the media for their own benefit, for those only censorship is the need.

Media is like part and parcel in today's generation which is only the unbiased industry which covers the news from entire field. There is need of censorship in some cases where inappropriate words songs movies are shown and promoted.

Movies with right cause and good motivation should be more emphasized. And the most important part that should be censored is the shows of different culprits baba's and their devotees because only the media who is more keen to show the deceitful programs regarding religion.

Hi friends, Dhaval here my point of view is that media can be a doubled edged sword if not handled properly. In my point if view censorship is needed on such programmes where vulgar stuff is shown which corrupts the minds of young people. On the other hand Important programmes should not be censored. The second point which I would like to mention over here is that telecaste showing cheap publicity stunts should be censored eg The one of model poonam pandey.
