Hi guys,

India is like China, with a rapid increase in population. If its population increases, so does its economy, as there will be cheap labour, which will attract investors to come and start businesses. And when its economy increases, more and more people become more rich and educated, then India will become a more economically developed country, and then its people will start to have less babies, as they will work more, then the population will decrease. Don't you see? Its just a cycle going round and round.

Yeah I agree with you all friends. Of course population is the main cause or the main obstacle in development of any country, we should make remember all the people about population, that what are the disadvantages of overpopulation & how we can control it. But we don't have to blame the people who lives in villages becoz, they are making production & that is why we are able to eat food. So don't blame them & start parking precautions by yourself own.

Yes friends I am also agree with you. India is a developing country its not a developed country. Our country development mostly depending upon the young people, un education not only the problem of the population, first of all every one having minimum awareness of that. In Indian government should be start one commit and those people main aim is decrease the population. They are conducting awareness programs for all type of people because of that uneducated people living all ares. So at least they can understand if population should be developed in which type of problems faced in future defiantly they understand so this type of programs conducting defiantly we will reduced our population little be this is my point of view. Thanking you.

Population is assets of a country. But in India, population become a major problem. India secured 2nd position in population. Population is more in rural areas than urban areas. I assure to say that education is the main reason behind this. Our government should take some steps for educating rural people.

Hello friends. According to me ever rising population is the biggest problem which our country facing today because this leads to every evils in country like poverty, corruption, terrorism and unemployment. So government should take steps to stop this by force people to control this. Jai hind, jai bharat.

Two in every three in this discussion attributed the rise in population to the lack of awareness among the uneducated/villagers. One of them opined that rich can have three or more children, as they have money or resources to bring them up.

But, by saying this are we not forgetting the importance of saving 'Resources'. Be it for the present generation or for the future generation. If every rich person thinks the same way and go for three or more children, then do you really think the population can be controlled? The catch here is the rise in standard of living. Don't you guys think everyone now can be able to raise two or more children at ease?

Talking about democracy/ rights at the cost of exploiting resources is what we are discussing here, if one scrutinize every comment.

Population explosion is the severe problem of our nation which is leading us towards inflation, poverty, low per capita income, decreasing gdp etc.

In order to overcome ever increasing population following measures should be undertaken:

1). Firstly the policy of two kids must be taken seriously one who abides that rule should be charged 40% income tax.

2). People instead of having their own kid, should adopt orphans this would help decrease their ratio.

And so we can faint poverty upto a certain extent.

3). Government should give permit to abortion cause neither the man nor the women wants the kid at that time.

Forcefully giving birth to the child spoils the child's life as he was not wanted and spoils the women's and men's life as he is held responsible for destroying three lives at a time.

If following things are adopted then sure we. Can decrease our population resources will be enough and demand will be rational.

This is because of callous attitude of some states. Like up, Bihar, west Bengal. All other states have more or less stabilised the population.

Hi,
I would like to add some major causes for increasing population:

1. GENDER PREFERENCE.
2. UNAVAILABILITY OF PREGNANCY PRECAUTIONARY THINGS IN URBAN AREAS OR IF AVAILABLE COST IS SO HIGH
3. MULTIPLE MARRIAGES
4. CHILD MARRIAGES
5 SEX EDUCATIONS
6. NO RESTRICTION ON CHILDBIRTH CONTROL.

Population in our country is one of the biggest problem. It can be handled with proper education and awareness. Its not the reason because of illiterate. Government should look after it and should provide proper awareness. Not even Government we people should also spread in our societies.

Here are few points for population control.
1. Awareness.
2. Incentives to family with one child.
3. Proper Education.
