I believe for both entrepreneurs and managers are must to run an organisation. Entrepreneurs because they provide opportunities, they provide jobs which are at present scenario must for the development of the country and to decrease the unemployment. On the other side, Managers are essential in every organisation. For simple understanding, I can say it's just like a food chain. If one of the animals is excluded from the chain, all food chain will be disturbed. Just like that, for smooth run of employment, jobs both entrepreneurs and managers are essential.

Hello friend, according to me - "Think big, think fast, think ahead. Ideas are no one's monopoly".

Do we Indians really believe in the perfect blend of astounding vision, aspiring mission and justified implementation? For how long will we remain a job seeker to our economy? How much and what more motivation and spur do we need just to come out of our colonial service oriented mentality?

We certainly don't have answers. Maybe a few has, but just few.

Don't we think the Google evolution and Facebook factor could have been started in the silent doors of IITs? Maybe yes. If NASA is dependent on Indian brains for various missions, if more than 30% employees of Microsoft are Indians if the stack of big brand foreign Universities are overflowed with Indian brains (real brain drain, though), then why is US more prosperous than India? Indians are universally known for their intelligence and Math-ability, then what's wrong with India when it boils down to prosperity?

The simple answer is Lack of entrepreneurship.

Having 1.17 billion populations with 27% lying under the poverty line, if India wants growth, then we need to exterminate poverty. Simple solution seems to be employing the unemployed. Not at all simple though. If the top part of the pyramid is truly aiming for the self-satisfaction of Maslow's law by seeking jobs, then do we have anything left for the lower pyramid?

NASSCOM and CII have estimated that if India wants to be a developed country by 2020, it needs to create 10 million jobs. The million-dollar question is how these jobs are going to be created.

Government sectors can't help for such a large amount. So here come private sectors with smiling face. Though industries are expanding but not at that rate to consume such a large number. Fortunately or unfortunately, the solution and answer are bound to be the same old cliche "Entrepreneurship".

Why do we need entrepreneurs, because they create jobs as per TIE (a non-profit Organization for promoting Entrepreneurship), each entrepreneur creates at least 30 jobs. They set the stage for a booming economy unlike a mediocre manager, a job seeker, a burden to an economy.

Managers will do bits and pieces; use their credibility and intellect to make the big bosses (like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata) to win the so called "My Company biggest and bestest" rat-races; whereas the entrepreneurs make themselves and nations richer.

Why do people flock to US, simply because the US has more opportunities? What can be done to prevent this self-ruining brain drain? The answer is again to promote entrepreneurship. Look at the figures of Indian exports: software business proudly mounting its head. But again, we Indians have got a benchmark of "good at service (serving US for money).

Dhirubhai Ambani.

The very known and true story of realization: The IIMs (Indian IT Males) try for IIMs, participate in the rat race and become just managers and secure high paid jobs. Had Dhirubhai Ambani, JRD Tata, S. P Godrej thought in the same way, we would not have got such large industries which are even capable of acquiring International Giants.

Entrepreneurs are people who turn dreams into reality. They are the wealth creators of economy. This self-created wealth insulates the economy from recession and helps to make it robust and reliable for FIIs and FDIs. The entrepreneurial aspects of inclusive growth in an economy like India having such demographic dividend may create a huge impact in global arena.

Entrepreneurship in India will help to avoid monopolies and it will help Indian market export competitive and will make the "MADE IN INDIA" brand more acceptable with quality products and services. It has been found that nations with quality entrepreneurs always have a pro-liberal government supporting and promoting entrepreneurship; hence economy like India should have policies favorable to businessmen and entrepreneurs which will lead to an win-win situation.

Why only business tycoons? A simple example of spiritual gurus. Ramakrishna created Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda has created thousand of Vivekananda who are capable of running the monasteries successfully in absence of him. This shows how a vision is born, how a mission is realized and an implementation is materialized.

Hi friend, In the present world, India definitely needs more entrepreneurs to capture the rising possibilities of business development in India. Promoting Entrepreneurship means encouraging people to be self-reliant in taking economic decisions and creating wealth and employment. Managers do play their role in any economy and every business concern but India at its present juncture definitely needs more entrepreneurs than managers.

I believe that we need more entrepreneurs because everyone is the unique creatures of god and everyone have an own specific speciality.

Entrepreneurs are the person who love to work for itself not to anyone else. They are enjoying what they do and they are passionate about their work because they are doing what they actually want.

So if in India everyone do which they passionate about then they will be an entrepreneur oh his life then they will do work for himself.

Hello all,

According to my point of view, We need more entrepreneurs than managers.

As India is growing day by day, country is looking forward towards more innovative and advanced ideas. To bring imagination into reality is what India needs in the growing years of development. Managers are the one who follows the same trend and manages the company to achieve it's goal but entrepreneurs are the one who comes out of conventional methods, they not only manages but also give their innovation to the society for making our lives more simpler and technologically advanced.

I think the need of entrepreneurs are must as well as need of managers.

Because every entrepreneur is always working as a manager if we want entrepreneurs so we must need of managers.

Hello to all, the combat between entrepreneurs and managers, I mean.

Which one do we need most, in this point what I want say is managers can quit their current job and look for another one but when an entrepreneur quits its all over for him and when if such things happen a country like India will be always in developing stage I mean will never develop. Thanking you.

An entrepreneur is a manager in itself, even he is more than a manager.

Serving more people takes more risk and responsibility compared to a manager. So in my opinion society needs an entrepreneur first then a manager. Moreover an entrepreneur initiates a new business, concept and serves the society various ways where as a manager undertakes limited risk and works for the organisation and serves the purpose for which he/she is employed for.

Yes, we need more entrepreneurs because they are working for society,

Culture and towards improving our system. And they guys have.

Exceptional risk taking ability than managers.

Hi friends, we know very well that every business goes on by its.

Entrepreneur that is the source of the profit without entrepreneur there is not any business grown up, manager manages the business that means how to manage the profit, loss, product price, product range etc. , that is the duty of the manager. Entrepreneur is the part of the business without entrepreneur business is not possible but without manager, business is possible initially.

It's mean to say that when you start the business initially you must have.

The money not manager, initially you are the manager of your own business. When your profit is increases then you thought about other people to manage your company.

In other cases when you have a lot of capital than you must be thought.

About manager and other employees to manage the company. In that case, also entrepreneur is more important that manager for profit.

An idea is the most resilient, highly contagious parasite. Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it's almost impossible to eradicate". But who will bring those ideas into actions? Those who dare to bring their ideas into practice and create something new, something innovative is the real leaders in today's highly competitive world. If you run out of ideas you are gonna loose the race sometime in near future. Managers do a fine job by ensuring that the ideas implemented are properly functioning. But what will they do if there is no idea?Steve jobs to Mark Zuckerberg to Bill Gates all of them have one thing common: they thought out of the box, they possessed the highly entrepreneurial spirit. And today we have apple, Facebook and Microsoft. Why do we fail to create such world-class companies?because of the lack of entrepreneurs.

We must foster and develop the environment where entrepreneurs are appreciated, assisted and recognised if we want to see any Microsoft like company coming from India.

Hi, all. As the discussion goes on I would share my views saying that an entrepreneur and a manager are like a driver and wheels of an organisation. Any sophisticated and branded car no matter how beautifully it is designed, cannot ascend unless it is driven by someone (an entrepreneur). On the other hand, when the same car doesn't have wheels (the manager), it cannot move ahead in-spite of being provided with an efficient driver. The driver decides the direction and reaches the destination with the help of the wheels. Similarly, the entrepreneur sets the goals and the manager takes all the risk to reach the desired goals. It demands the knowledge (Innovation) of the entrepreneur and skill (Ability) of the manager.

Entrepreneurs or managers? It's an important area to be noticed as in.

This growing area of industries and cut-throat competition we need to focus more on maximising profits in a smart way rather than opting for a hard way. Entrepreneurs, as we all know, have innovative ideas and they come up with implementing their ides into reality. Hence they are smarter than the managers who work hard all day to maximising profits. Entrepreneurs provide us with more and more job opportunities which are real important in a country like India. Entrepreneurs take us to the different aspects of business as well as doing business with their innovative and visionary mind. Thus giving an add-on to the business field. Moreover one should prefer being an employer than an employee himself which we can achieve by becoming an entrepreneur with our creative minds! Hence in schools and colleges too students should be encouraged to become an entrepreneur by holding several product making competitions which will invite several ideas at one place and proper guidance should be given to convert those ideas into reality! After all, we need more entrepreneurs and their respective ideas rather than just a manager who acts as a mere servant to entrepreneurs!

Hi,

My point of view about this topic is, first of all, we have to work in some MNC to see and understand the working environment and how to tackle the situations. And after having experience in management part, people can open or become the entrepreneur.

Management + entrepreneur = successful organization.

With the help of Management skills, an entrepreneur can tackle the situations in a better way.

Thank you!
