I think first we have to make our infrastructure good so the unemployed can get job. May be we have the most graduates students in world but they are jobless. Indian education system based on theoretical knowledge not on skill based education. Students don't have practically knowledge they just have bookish knowledge.
If they had practical knowledge so it will help them for lifetime. So we have to make sure students get practical knowledge more then theoretical knowledge.

Education system, education is a right for everyone but it should be education not 'business'. Now a days it's like a hot cake for businessman. They don't think about ethics, they think about only benefit and the government have no constrain on them.
It is because government school/institute does not provide proper education to student which they need. We need to change the education system so that education no more a business.
In school there should be theoretical as well practical knowledge entertain. And teachers should have give more attention towards the student. Somehow in school there should be some ethical knowledge given to the student so that they become a proud for nation.
Thanks.

Hello friends,
Today's education system being performed in worst manner. In our schools and colleges they are by hard the students. They don't teach in right way. They only teach in theoretical don't doing practical.
In today's generation max number of students fighting for marks that is not the students fault. Absolutely education fault. No practical knowledge how student get understand deeply about subject. However this is one side other side is they are giving materials important questions very important questions.
They are giving like this to students it leads students to unthinking human beings. We know one proverb no pain no gain. Here also like that with out self thinking students get solutions. This is also one of the main drawback in education system.
Finally I want to highlight few points:
1) Teach with practical.
2) Do answers or search answers from students.
3) Stop see education like a business.
Then see no other country would reach India position.
Thank you :).

How to make the education system more practical? Teach the students how to use what they are studying in the real world.
Make the link between theoretical and practical means students should relate what they are studying to the surrounding environment. Also give students opportunities to use and develop skills means not only reading by-hearting and writing. Teachers can use more visual and physical activities and make lessons more exciting. Teachers can conduct discussion with students and test students understanding.
Educate in mother tongue so students can understand and communicate easily. This is natural and efficient method to learn. More private schools should teach students in mother tongue. They should not use English as a way to attract the customers to their business. How many parents are taking loans from the bank and sending children to private schools? Then after standard 10 students don't know English or mother tongue. But facilities are better in private schools.
Government needs to use money in the right way for the benefit of the students. They are providing food for students. Very good. Then good facilities should be in all schools also. If teachers are not attending classes they should get warning and if they still don't improve they should lose the job. Attract dedicated teachers. Dump the rest. Then only teaching standard will improve. Standard of textbooks are good but are only useful if the students get the textbooks at the start of the year. Why the students are getting textbook after the exam is done? Why? Fix these problems so students can study well.
Only countries that were colonialised are still trying to educate the youth in a foreign language. Developed countries around the world are educating youth in their own mother tongue. Ya we need to learn English also. Then improve the method of teaching languages. For example don't simply teach grammar or poetry. Focus on communication. Communicative English is more practical than English literature.
Also in developed countries people are getting good quality education for free. Even their plus 1 plus 2 is free. Why? Because most of their government schools are good standard. Why? One reason is they have more money per person. The other reason is they have fixed most of the problems. They also had problems in their government education system but they improved the system by dumping the people who don't do their job and attracting the right people.
But degree is costly there. India has many problems but I believe education can be the main solution. We should learn the right ideas from other countries not blindly ape them. Then only India can develop for everyone.

Our education system needs serious reforms. The reforms should be made from the base itself. Everyone is concerned about how much marks the student scored in the examination than how much knowledge he or she acquired. So the students start mugging up all things, thus our education system is now spoon feeding.
There is no practical knowledge in our education system, its all about theoretical facts. Theoretical study is needed but we are more focused on theoretical studies than practical studies. Today thousands of engineers are passing out from our country, but only a few of them are quality engineers, its because of the lack of practical knowledge.
Our India doesn't have a Google or Microsoft, its because of lack of innovation among our students. We are focused on mugging up rather than creativity.
Is its the high time to take immediate steps to provide quality education to all. It will not only increase the knowledge level of individual but also increase the development of the country.

In India education system is pretty bad. They don't teach kids to be creative, all they care about is good grades. Kids don't know anything that's outside their textbook. Anyone can get good grades by reading same material over and over but does he really understand it? no.
It's very important to understand kids and since our country is going through population crisis, no one really cares about kids. Parents pop them out like candies and throw them in school. Teachers beat them up if they don't perform good, they come home and parents beat them up. It's damaging psychologically and emotionally. These kids grow up and repeat the same cycle as their parents because they don't know any better.
Modi needs to spend more time in US and learn their education system and then bring that same process here. Getting good grades is useless when you can't apply that same education in real world and make it useful.

Hai friends when I think about the education system in India I feel sad because the youth have so much potential which is being wasted. The current education system has many problems which are complicated but can be fixed. To solve these problems it is important to identify the root causes of the problems.
The current education system we are following is basically the old British system which replaced the Gurukula system. In some ways this change was an improvement, for example education for everyone with more emphasis on reading and writing. In some ways it was a step backward for example, less importance given to understanding concepts, thinking skills and creativity, relationship between teacher and student and practical education. Many mathematical and scientific ideas were developed as a result of the Gurukula education system. These are recorded in the Vedas. In this way India has made a valuable contribution to the world.
I do believe there were many people who were genuinely trying to educate the Indian people for the benefit of the people. However I don't believe this was the general intention of our former colonial guests. According to a document written in 1835 by the British, one of the purposes of establishing the education system in India was to create "a class of persons, Indian in blood and colour, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect. Did they fulfil their purpose? Does this class still exist in India today? Are they more educated or superior because they are like that? In my opinion it is time to move on from that kind of thinking and also from the style of education system which encourages it. Even the education system in UK has changed and improved but in India we are still following this old British system.
India needs to develop its own education system which includes the best ideas from the Gurukula system, British system as well as other education systems from around the world. The mentality that marks only are important needs to change. Sometimes we learn more from our failures than our successes. We need to educate our youth to become good skilled citizens, some of whom will become strong incorrupt leaders who serve the people instead of their own interests. Instead of empty words we need action from our politicians and educational leaders. I like the idea of government officials having to send their children to government schools. I think that would inspire them to improve the education system more quickly and be stricter with the assessment of the standard of teaching at schools and colleges. India has been used and abused for centuries. Now it is time to stop punishing ourselves and give the youth the good quality education they deserve.

In my point of view education is not just learning the things theoretically but also reaching the actual point of things through practical way. We have learned many theorems and formulates in our childhood but where we all are applying them in our real life's.
Students should me educated in such a way that they need to know what they are learning and where they have to apply their knowledge in proper way, in which our education system in lacking.
And in other countries there are lot of facilities and opportunities provided to student's innovative and creative thinking and they are been encouraged. Where as in our country we have innovative and creative ideas but we don't have proper facilities to implement them that's where our education system is lagging and that's the one of the reason many of them are flying to other countries to do their masters.

Today's education system is challenging but it needs some changes. The education system puts more emphasis on theoretical knowledge than practical. Quality of education must be improved rather than quantity.

As a child I never got to know why do I study. They made me learn and somehow I mugged up a bit. But as I am growing I started correlating the need to study with cope up in life. I am always interested in electronic toys, how they work and all those art and crafts, but they never allowed or gave me time to get involved in those thing and get some knowledge. I somehow decided to deal with them till 10 and thought to get a lot of science practicals and projects to do in the lab, so I choose Science.
But there also they made me drown in lots of formula and laws and numeric, and about most of them, I had no idea of their importance in my life or in my interests. So I never had that zeal to study my course materials. I passed my days by small experimentation, observations, learning what I wanted from You Tube (because I can see things practically there) and getting from online sites and videos.
I gathered some practical knowledge and applied them to create several drones, planes and many projects but passed my exams with not so very good marks. So now, no good engineering college would select me and if somehow I get selected they will live me alone in middle of vast ocean of formulas and I will lose interest in life.
Student join engineering to get job, to get job they chase for marks, for marks they just mug up and stay upto the limits of their text books and this results in no innovation or invention by our technical students of our deemed institutions. Its just what I regret in my life that I am not able to study what I want to things have changed lets change the way to understand them.
