Hi. In my opinion, it does not make a difference whether the national anthem is played in a cinema hall or not. You cannot enforce patriotism over anybody.

I love my country but there are just not enough people who will do the same and actually pay their respect. I can give a simple example of an incident that took place recently to justify the above statement. While I was at the movies with a friend to watch the movie " Dangal ", everybody stood up at the beginning for the anthem before the movie played because we are obligated to do so since it is now a law. What happened after, was entirely surprising. There is a part in the movie where they play the anthem and nobody stood up because they weren't obligated to since it's not compulsory. The only ones who took the initiative to stand up were my friend and I after which only a few others followed. My point is that, whether it is in the movies or elsewhere, you cannot enforce patriotism. This has to come from within. So making it a rule will not make a difference.

Hi, I am Aryan Singh.

As I know that National Anthem should not play in cinema Halls, it's the place of amusement, Look Differ category of movies release like B grade movie, should us watch the movie B grade after research of the national anthem. Patriot is shown by feelings, love, and should us do something for society, give it to India pride things. Due it people remind us not by standing in cinema halls at the play of national anthem.

But, National Anthem is being played at many theatres. SC has now made it mandatory for all the theatres. The move has not gone down well for some people but the majority have no objections. No move can appease all, there will always be some who oppose. SC must have considered squarely before pronouncing such compulsion. Those who are against it can voice and cite reasons for its better implementation.

India has many colors but when all stand up for the national anthem, it reminds sense of unity. The theatre is a few place where we as a family stand up for our National Anthem.

Hello all;.

I strongly support Supreme Court decision because ln India, people give importance to only two things that are cricket and cinema. Playing national anthem was already done in cricket matches. Now it left in cinema, now a days people are more interesting to watch movies in cinema halls. Every day it plays 3 or 4 times. And there are illiterate and literature people in cinema halls. If we think about illiterate people, they didn't know meaning of the national anthem. But this time, there is a chance to know about the national anthem, how to respond to our national anthem and how much of time they stand up during playing the national anthem. By doing this they will follow the national anthem rules. Lndeed, we appreciate the Supreme Court decision. And my conclusion is that playing the national anthem is not only in cinema halls, but also in Railway Stations, airports, and before starting parliament sessions. By the way our patriotism will grow up. And it will help to increase the unity of the country.

I don't find it convincing. There is no sense of playing national anthem in cinema halls. Respect comes from inside we can't force someone for it. Recent order from supreme court to play national anthem seems illogical and unjustified.

National anthem is something which we consider as sacred. We can't just watch any shitty kind of movie and after that sing national anthem. And if government is thinking that by playing it, people will become patriotic and start respecting country and it's people then it's a huge mistake. The justification that supreme court gave for it was that many people don't remember full national anthem and this is one way to make them learn. What kind of decision is this? Even there were reports that few people were penalised for not singing after watching movie.

We can say that instead of diverting people's mind from major issues related to progress and development of country, supreme court should give a stop to it and start solving problems which are actually disrupting development.

Our national anthem reflects our culture. It is the pride of our country. It evokes a sense of pride, responsibility, and respect towards our country. But it should not be played at a cinema hall as patriotism comes from the heart of a person, people should not be forced to be patriotic and stand during the national anthem before the national flag. Cinemas are for entertainment purposes and playing the national anthem before certain movies (ADULT) would totally disrespect and shame the national anthem.

When the national anthem is played in the cinema the person is more interested in the movie going to take place though he may stand up he will not be respecting it fully.

If we sing our national anthem to show that respect and honor our motherland we should do it with the sky on top of our heads and not under a roof. We should do it with no walls to bound the praise of our motherland. We should do it, it by helping our country prosper.

But, I do respect my national anthem and I'm proud to be an Indian.

Many of you have said that it should not be enforced on the people and it should not be played in the hall. I like to share my points only for these people that you should be thanked to god that you are living in India. Our government is trying to inculcate patriotism among people so whats wrong in that? Our country is filled with different communities, caste, religion it is important to unite them. There is a need of patriotism so we can overcome from the problem like brain drain and many more. I m in army sometimes we do our duty in off time also. We also feel that it is our rest time but no we have to do it for any cause because it's my duty to serve the nation wherever it needs me. So it is a duty of a citizen also to respect the anthem, not because you are in any service because you are living in India.

Big changes come from small steps.

It is our luck that India is a democratic nation. Not a communism like China and other countries. So this is not supposed to be discussing a topic, not at all.

Hello,

These days National Anthem is being played almost in all theaters before the movie starts. I don't know if you all know the main reason behind it. In some place of India, while the movie was going on. In a particular scene, there was a national anthem being played. In the whole theater, it was only one man who stood up in respect to our country. The rest of them were just involved in the scene. So, that person filed a case in the court regarding this issue and the court has made it mandatory to play National Anthem before starting any movie.

People are so involved in the movie that, they don't even know that the National Anthem is being played. In this way, they are losing their respect for the nation.

I don't say that National Anthem should be played in cinema halls. But it is our duty to stand up and salute whenever it is being played as a part of the movie. There is nothing wrong in playing it also. Because at least that time we get to remember of our country.

Hello Friends, Everyone is saying it should be play and everyone should be stand up that time. But my opinion is there is no need to it because a person doesn't need to show their patriotic. And second is you can't enforce your rules on a person. Patriotic, love and desire come from the heart, not by force. If a person is patriotic then she/ he shouldn't show it by standing in a cinema hall when the national anthem is playing other than it they should help the needy person. The armies serve our country by standing on the border. They stand them whereby we can sleep free and our place with our family. So like that, we also show our patriotic by feed the hunger person and help the people. A person goes cinema for fun and enjoys not for the show their patriotic. What will happen if you play 52 second the national anthem they won't have to remember it in the 3 hours movie. So, I think national anthem shouldn't play in the cinema hall and shouldn't enforce your rule on others.

Hello everyone.

I think that national anthem should not be played on cinema halls. As we know that people with different types of nature come to these cinema halls, some of them are renowned, intelligent and they know the value of national anthem. On the other hand some of them are irrational, arrogant and feel their disrespect on standing while national anthem is being played. Now these second category's people, neither they stand up for national anthem nor they sung it, even they make joke of the people of first category i.e. renowned intelligent and patriotic people.

Sometimes this causes quarrel in cinema halls, and many times fight also between these two category people.

I am not in opposition of national anthem but I am in opposition of disrespect of national anthem.

If national anthem is to be played on cinema halls, there should be proper management, guards to stop quarrels and to make everyone stand up while national anthem is being played.

Thank you.

My answer is 'no'. And I have right to disagree with judgment. In beginning periods of freedom, most of the population was illiterate. Literacy rate was below 20. /. . That time to make national anthem popular. It's awareness was necessary. In school, there was everyday practice but the question of that time was too aware youth and other illiterate aged people. Of that time. That time theater was the only mass media to reach up to grassroots level. And aware the people with its tune. Alap. Words. A specific group of people of vivid village often visit to see pictures. Day by day they heard it and them song with. Thus they became aware and took proud had knowledge of it. They had provided practice to others in those days. So it was important to make compulsory in theater. Now when literacy rate is much higher TV, Mobile, Other instruments are available. The effect of theater is itself none. So, the result may not be achieved at expected level. Maybe negative.
