Hello,

These days National Anthem is being played almost in all theaters before the movie starts. I don't know if you all know the main reason behind it. In some place of India, while the movie was going on. In a particular scene, there was a national anthem being played. In the whole theater, it was only one man who stood up in respect to our country. The rest of them were just involved in the scene. So, that person filed a case in the court regarding this issue and the court has made it mandatory to play National Anthem before starting any movie.

People are so involved in the movie that, they don't even know that the National Anthem is being played. In this way, they are losing their respect for the nation.

I don't say that National Anthem should be played in cinema halls. But it is our duty to stand up and salute whenever it is being played as a part of the movie. There is nothing wrong in playing it also. Because at least that time we get to remember of our country.

Hello everyone, according to me,

Playing of the national anthem in cinema halls should not be mandatory. National Anthem symbolizes love and respect for the country which one harbours in his or her heart. So national anthem should be played in those places where people actually worship their motherland. In movie halls, people mostly come to get themselves entertained and relaxed while munching some eateries. Some even get busy to have fun with their beloved in the corner seat. Should national anthem be played in such an environment where people mostly stand up during the national anthem out of compulsion?

Mostly they stand up to avoid criticism from others. So in such a condition the decorum which should be present is not maintained.

Moreover, patriotism cannot be forcefully instilled in someone's mind. It should come from the very core of our heart and then only we can give the desired respect that our national anthem deserves.

So, I think instead of just standing during the national anthem if one indulge himself in any activity regarding upliftment of society it will be a true gesture of love and respect for the nation and its people.

Hello everyone, a very good evening to all of you.

This is Ajay kumar today my topic is should national anthem be played in cinema hall, I think in my point of view it should be played in cinema hall as we all know that national anthem is not only song it's an emotion for our motherland. It shows the pride and dignity of our country. Before starting of the movie we can take a little time to sing a national anthem though it doesn't take much time to sing. We know that cinema is the place of entertaining, making fun all that things but it does not mean that we forget our ethics, culture, etc. I am not against of anyone views but this is my view regarding this.

Thank you.

Everyone has their opinion and I appreciate their point of view but according to me, I think we should not play National anthem in the cinema hall because of many reasons.

First and there for the most thing is that National anthem is not a normal song it represents our country so it should not be played under the roof. It should be played in an open area.

Secondly, Whenever someone goes to the cinema hall everyone has their hearts and minds into the movie. At the time No one is interested in the national anthem. So even if it played. It will be just disrespecting the national anthem because no one is interested in listening to the national anthem. So even if it is played in the Hall and everyone is standing just for the sake of it and they are mind is in the movie and they are not singing it from within. Then it's total of no use.

Thirdly, We are living in that time. In which every movie is the same and positive which have all the good things in it. Some movie includes many vulgar scenes and songs. Item songs and many other things. And people come to watch those things with that mind. So it's just Disrespecting the NA. So just playing the national anthem and making people sing it forcefully is not a better option.

Instead what government should do is to make it compulsory to play national anthem in all the organization school colleges. Both (private and government) offices whenever they start the new day.

Our national anthem reflects our culture. It is the pride of our country. It evokes a sense of pride, responsibility, and respect towards our country. But it should not be played at a cinema hall as patriotism comes from the heart of a person, people should not be forced to be patriotic and stand during the national anthem before the national flag. Cinemas are for entertainment purposes and playing the national anthem before certain movies (ADULT) would totally disrespect and shame the national anthem.

When the national anthem is played in the cinema the person is more interested in the movie going to take place though he may stand up he will not be respecting it fully.

If we sing our national anthem to show that respect and honor our motherland we should do it with the sky on top of our heads and not under a roof. We should do it with no walls to bound the praise of our motherland. We should do it, it by helping our country prosper.

But, I do respect my national anthem and I'm proud to be an Indian.

Hi, I am Raj.

Actually, this is a very provocative question for the Indians. But I think national anthem shouldn't be supposed to make compulsory in cinema halls, it is only good up to some places.

Tell me one thing, today most of the films are based on full of love, romance, vulgarity, abusive languages; so what is the need to play there national anthem? It shows our disrespect nature towards our nation, moreover I have seen many of the foreigners who visit our Indian cinema hall, don't give so much attention, they are gossiping at that moment, so what is the need to stand? Only for formalities? If it is, we don't need formalities. Even many Indian youths are doing the same thing. They visit cinema halls with their girlfriend and occupy the corner sit just for romance during the entire 2 hours. Singing national anthem at such type of places really lowers the values of our national anthem. If you really want to do for nation, then do something magical which is best for the nation India. Don't worry about the national anthem, it is played in every schools, by thousands of lips everyday. Our India was best, is best and will always be the best.

Hi friends,

We all are discussing Our National Anthem, and whether it should be played before the start of a movie in the theater. Well, I am in favour of the topic.

Friends most of us saying NO because of content if the movie might be vulgar or inappropriate and it disrespects our national anthem. There is no such Rule saying where to play our national anthem but remember whenever and wherever it is audible to you it's your moral duty to respect and stand.

I think that Good thing should be promoted instead of criticizing it. Actually, if we count the no.of times we get to sing our national anthem. It's just 2 times a year. So if you are really respecting your nation so much them I think the decision of SC is a reason for you to be HAPPY.

And yes about entertainment. Friends we are going to enjoy the movie for the total of 10800 seconds and do you really don't have just 52 SECONDS to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their life just to give us freedom.

In my point of view, it is a good step taken by our Government. Because after our school and college days we people forget about our national anthem and it is a good thing to hear again in the cinema hall. I don't know why people saying that it is an irritated one, I have one question. You people spend three hours to watch a movie but before that why you are not ready to spend 1min for our national anthem. I think it is our responsibility too.

So in my point of view, it is a good thing.

Namaskar to all Indians who consider playing national anthem in cinema hall is not the right way of showing respect to our Mother India.

As per some of beloved Indians patriotism cannot be forced and as per them playing national anthem in hall is like forcing people to show respect unwillingly to mother India, so my first question to these people is,

We Indians are independent today, can walk freely, talk freely and live life, so whats wrong in showing the respect our land where we stand.

Yea, cinema hall is source of entertainment, but if we start the fun standing for our nation, one should feel pride.

Talking about those who think patriotism is in heart, that's for every Indian, but few things we do because its adds to our confidence of being Indian like playing National anthem.

If one can stand in queue for getting tickets of movie, then whats wrong to stand for our Country. One must have seen while the National Anthem is played, it always shows the group of armies who dedicate their whole life protecting National Flag, so I find no inconvenience in showing honor for our National Flag.

There are many things which we dislike, or which are not required still we do it as they are required for living.

We should feel happy that today we got National Anthem only because we are independent, if suppose we wouldn't have been independent, there wouldn't be cinema hall, no source of entertainment and above all no :freedom of Speech".

So at the end I would say "One should feel pride in being independent and show respect to National Anthem" even in cinema halls.

Thanks.

In my opinion, National Anthem should be played in Cinema Halls. It is not just a song it is a feeling, an emotion. Some people say that it should not be sung in cinema halls as the atmosphere of cinema halls is entertaining and joyous so I just have a simple question for those people -- When you cannot stand for yourself, how do you expect others especially soldiers to stand for us? Why do we hesitate to sing National Anthem at cinema halls because soldiers do not hesitate while sacrificing themselves for us?

It hurts when people make excuses for not singing the national anthem. Well, we learn from what we see and when children watch other people singing National Anthem they imitate them. If it is bad then we should stop singing the national anthem in cinema halls. One more aspect is that it is not our daily schedule to sing the national anthem, after our schooling we don't really bother to sing it but where we get the opportunity at least there we can give our best.

To the people who say the national anthem doesn't fit in cinema halls, I would like to say it is not the place which matters it is our feelings which matters the most. When you say God is everywhere, why can't patriotism be everywhere? (Don't say we go to temples to worship gods, have you made anything where we can go and sing the national anthem?).
