Being a patriot and a great lover of our national anthem since my childhood days the mandate gives a sign of relief that more people will respect the national anthem now. But then the question comes to my mind why only cinema halls, why not make it mandatory in each and every government institution say for example banks, offices, collectorate, courts and many more such places. Are they not citizens of India. Why only cinema halls. Supreme Court should do some proper home work. No doubt its intention is good. But should be done by proper planning.

Before applying any rule we should know why?

So as we have seen in our school life we did this daily in the morning prayer because that is the time we learn about everything and know about our country and love it is necessary to do.

But in movie halls doesn't make sense but if still, we want to play then if any movies hold you certificate then we can apply this rule. Because there will be family and children and when they will see their parents standing for national anthem will make them feel proud and they will learn about etiquette and unity.

Yes, I am in the favour of playing National Anthem in the cinema hall.

Now many of us here arguing that a cinemall hall is a place for entertainment n all.

I agree but what is the problem if we stand barely 52seconds for the national anthem?instead standing with other Indians for national anthem will make us feel proud of our nation. If we can watch the movie for 3 hrs there so we can also stand for the national anthem for a minute. Freedom fighters gave their life for our country can't we give one minute to our national anthem.

Jai Hind!

The thing is not about standing for a minute and sitting for 3 hrs, the thing is how much do you understand the national anthem. Cinema halls are placed to relax and enjoy and not a place to prove your patriotism. What's the use if standing because when you leave the cinema halls you are going to litter it, going to bribe traffic police after breaking signals and continue with all the bad practice. If you really respect the Tiranga and stand for it income. A hall than why do triangles lie on the road after 26 Jan or 15 August?
Thank you.

Good evening all of you.

Today's topic is should national anthem played in cinema hall so my answer is "Yes". Because of we gather in cinema hall before it people aware our country love. So it would be a great feeling for our country. Today all people busy in daily work. So they don't have time to spend for our country. So, this is a way to aware about our patriotism. For little moments they should wake up by anthem. If we tell each work we do every day it's whatever either personal or social if it's helpful to all it is our patriotism.

No, it should not be played in cinema halls. It is not necessary always to play national anthem everywhere, National Anthem holds immense importance for every country and so for India as well. Our gov. Cannot force people to show patriotism anytime and anywhere. We all have respect and love for our country and we do not have to prove it every time. It's totally useless and baseless, we all have sung National Anthem every day in the morning in our schools and also on our National festivals then what is the need to play it in cinema halls?

Hi there,

In my view, national anthem should not be mandatory in cinema halls because nationalism is a thing which comes from within a person. We cannot force it on anyone. Moreover, cinema halls have a different kind of movies and playing the national anthem before any inappropriate movie is like insulting are a nation and it's dignity. Also, people come in theatres for their entertainment and not to prove their patriotism. So, rather than forcing this thing on anyone, we should make this thing a choice of every individual.

Thank you!

Hello everyone.

In my opinion playing National anthem is a good initiative by GOV of India, since almost every family goes to watch movie and when national anthem is playing kids also become aware of our sense of pride and they have a eagerness for asking question about it.

One thing I want to ask everybody is that how many times in a year you sing our national anthem, so playing it is a good initiative for developing patriotism in people.

Also no matter where and what conditions it is played it is our fundamental duty to respect it.

Hello Everyone,

I respect everyone's opinion but I don't think we should play National anthem in cinema hall instead we must play it in every organization whether it's educational or business, private or government.

I think we should play national anthem under the open sky not under the roof.

These days cinema are not a great cinema, there are too much romance and vulgar things. I don't think it's a respectful step towards our national anthem. But sometimes like the movie such as, Uri, parmanu, mangalyan can include National anthem.

Yes, National anthem should be played in Inox. This is not about forcing peopl to stand up in a theater. It's just a simple step to tell people about our country if we see many youths don't know the complete national anthem they don't know the meaning of the anthem. The National anthem is only sung on independence day and Republic days and schools. We need to bring the patriotic feeling in youths, this step of playing National will help in doing so because the theater is placed for youth and they are the future of our nation.
