This freedom should be given to cinema hall owner. It is their choice to play or not. I agree that singing the national anthem is not the proof of your patriotism towards the country, but what is a problem if you sing once. It hardly takes 52 seconds to complete. We can waste our 3hr time in watching a movie, then can't we spare 52 sec time for the national anthem. It is usually seen that we salute our flag and sing national anthem just twice in a year that is independence and republic day, so cinema hall provides one more day to sing and salute it. What is wrong in that?

Hello, friends.
In my point of view, the national anthem should not be played in the cinema hall. Cinema hall is not the right place to play the national anthem because people don't give respect there rather they sing some bad song instead of Jana Gana Mana. No one can force there to anyone to sing properly. Even I saw some people don't stand. So, my dear friends, this is a great disrespect for our nation and to our freedom fighters. In my opinion, this is not the right way to play the national anthem in cinema hall rather it should play in school, colleges, and offices.

I feel there is no need to play national anthem in cinema halls because if we want to respect our nation we can do that anywhere. Why only in cinema halls just because all gather there. Some come for fun. To spend time with their beloved ones. Standing up for 2 minutes is not an issue. But most of them won't do that. They are busy with their works. Actually no one bother about. One should feel the patriotism we can't force. I wanna conclude saying that if we really respect love care for the nation. Why only in cinema halls. We can feel patriotism anywhere and everywhere.

Yes, I completely feel the national anthem should be played in cinema halls. Normally what happens is that the younger generation does not get to learn the importance of the national anthem because such things are normally not discussed in the family. So many youngsters come to see the movies and if they see people standing up whenever it is played it will definitely instill a sense of pride and respect in them. Moreover, there are foreign tourists that come to these cinema halls, seeing so many people standing up to the anthem would obviously send a good impression.

If the national anthem is being played before a movie starts then why not a National anthem before:
A flight takes off
A train journey
At the workplace
A national anthem is a very patriotic feeling. There are places where it should be sung like parade grounds, Schools (where the national is taught), but not cinema houses.
When a national anthem is played then what we do should next have a national feeling like march past, a national game. Flag hoisting, An NGO which makes an effort for better India,
But in a movie house has nothing to do with a patriotic feel.

According to my point of view, this is not a issue to play national anthem in cinema halls. Why somebody opposing this means somebody disrespect national anthem. Some persons cannot stand and sing the anthem because they have no patriotic, and not understandable. Song playing before cinema, it is good thing to sing the anthem. Kids have a large wish to sing. Kids should have feel patriotic. My suggestion is that national anthem play in cinema halls and that anthem relevant meaning should be displayed means everybody should be know that why national anthem play.

We need to stand up when the national anthem is played, absolutely no questions about that. But do we need to play National Anthem in movie halls to instigate patriotism in patrons. That's debatable.
People go to movie halls to get entertained and not to display their patriotism. In my personal opinion we should not trivialize our National Anthem by playing it at every single movie halls across the nation and then start debating whether people should stand up or not.
For me Patriotism is my personal pride and National Anthem is too sacred to be politicized.

According to me it shouldn't be played into the cinema halls because everyone doesn't have patriotism and in the cinema halls there are people of several religion who don't want to listen or sing this national anthem it is just a wasting of time for them and it is also a disrespecting of our national anthem and another reason is that the national anthem should be played in an open area instead of into the four walls and the person who is into the cinema halls they don't focus into the national anthem they starts their gossips related to their movies and all.

According to me,
The national anthem should be played in cinema halls because watching movies for 3hours and denying to stand even for less than a minute is quite unfair when you have already stood up for it for almost 12years in your school assembly. Moreover, the word national in itself contains a word Nation means we all as Indians are united and part of this nation. It also motivates and reminds our youth to stand and gives respect to our own country's anthem. Standing for less than a minute or for 52 seconds doesn't degrade our positions or time.
