I totally agree with the above statement. India should strictly stand by the one child policy scheme. The expensive growth in the population is the root cause of every basic problem in the country. This has in turn left our children who are the future of the country undernourished, with no proper education and constantly fighting for the resources which are supposed to be everyone birth right.

Good evening everyone,
In my opinion, One-child policy in India is good because present India suffers with higher population to overcome this problem we may for this one-child policy and we can control Indian population and everyone should know about this policy and the next thing if they want children more than one then adopt the children so after that you have 2 children as you want.

Hello everyone presents here.
Today I am going to discuss one-child policy.
Yes, India should follow one-child policy because as we know the population of India increasing day by day. As a result unemployment increase and the places to survive is decrease. Therefore forest has been cutting. There is also difficulties of educating them. But uneducated people think more the hand more will be work. They cannot think about how they will survive. So the govt should educate them about the demerits of having more children. There should be strict law against more than 2 children.
Thank you for giving me a chance to speak.

In my opinion, rather than a one child policy what we need at the moment is awareness about family planning. Since, instead of applying this policy on the entire population we need to instill this knowledge into people's minds that their decisions of family planning should primarily depend on their income, their livelihood and any other factor that exists in their lives which is going to affect the upbringing of a child. I raise this statement since in India there are numerous such families which do not have a decent yearly income to support their well-being and a healthy upbringing even for a single child and yet they end up having more than two children. So this entire process should happen gradually and hopefully with time people will understand the gravity of the situation.

According to me, our country should implement 1 child policy but for about 10 years. At the end of 10 years the govt should study the outcome of 1 child policy implemented for 10 years & then based on the outcome should decide on whether 2 continue with 1 child policy or not. Because ours is 7th biggest country by area which means 6 countries are bigger than us & only 1 country is having population more than us (China) out of 6. So aren't those countries functioning? Moreover, no country needs such a big population. It puts pressure on natural resources, it's the reason for unemployment, long queues, rush, traffic jams, competition & pollution. As of now, our population is 138 crores but our fertility rate is 2.1 which is the replacement fertility rate. Till our population reduces to 60 crores we should have 1 child policy.

According to my point of view on this topic. India should not use one child policy because when we use one child policy the sex ratio of males and females is different because of ratio have both male and female.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Sagar Gupta, Let's start discussing today's topic "Implementation of One Child Policy in India".
I think this question arises because of the overpopulation problem that India is facing right now which is hindering the employment level, health issues, population and whatnot.
But Implementation of this policy is myopic it might help with the problems that I said earlier but in the long run we might create issues like what's happening in China, where more than 50 percent of their population is old which might lead to lower workforce participation and decrease the growth rate of any country.
So, we should go slow and rather than having drastic policies like this we take step by step like first strengthening our ongoing campaigns like "Bache do hi ache".
Thankyou.

Yes. India should follow the one child policy. As by 2050, it is estimated that India will overtake China in terms of population. This will be quite difficult for GOI that how to distribute the resources for public welfare. Also China being worried about this is following such policies to regulate their population.

India should not implement one child policy instead it should Go with providing awareness and implementing rules like more than 2 children would not provide facilities by the gov or if reservation is claimed by that family that should also be provided up to 1 or 2 children not more than that.

I don't think so. India has two children policy and it's too strict because in the village area where the rules are not allowed. It's too necessary. They knew about this rule. Two children policy is good because children don't feel loneliness.
