First of all, I think our citizens of India are not so educated that they will follow these rules of one child policy.

It is very difficult to implement this policy.

Rather, at first we should take the initiative in the poor societies and communities where people are giving birth to 6-7 child.

Hello everyone,

My name is Priyanka and I am glad to have a chance to put my point in front of you.

Today's discussion topic is should India have one child policy? yeah defiantly India have to adopt one child policy because of the reason increasing the population and some parents just gave birth to him/her for forcing by their family and in-laws this is a disgusting thing I saw because of your family your relatives they want you to have more than one baby but they can't say scroll on point how they earn many for their child after he/she grew up. And one most point is the mentality of Indians is that don't give birth to the girl child. The conclusion on my side is one child policy has to be adopted otherwise any of girl child thrown on the road side is not only for girl time is flying child ll be a boy also.

Hello guys,

In my point of view, "should India have one child policy" is totally wrong thinking because we know that the major development of the country is totally dependent on youngsters, it is no doubt that the development of the country also depends on unskilled people, half skilled human etc but if we reduce the birth rate then the number of youngsters also decreases and finally, we conclude that the development rate in any sector also decreases and it harms our economy.

In my opinion, a one-child policy is good because the population will control through this when population will decrease and the country will make pollution-free because cars and vehicles are also reduced. Many facilities are available for everyone.

I am not agree with the one child policy and I will not support this statement that India should have one child policy because as per my opinion, single child may be depressed some children do not share their feelings their belongings with their parents they think thousand times or sometimes we cannot share our feelings with friends also. We all want siblings with whom we can share what we think and what is right this can be first point.

And second one is that I know everyone have feelings in India people are emotional parents want from their children all is love and emotions and in any case if one children did not support in their old age or in any condition then they have another one. And of course why India only by not every country should think about this.

But population matters very much for our nation our livelihood agriculture so people have to do children to see future as well.

Thankyou.

I think India should do implement policies for controlling the population, but directly implementing 1 child policy won't be a good idea because over a few generations India would have more of an aged population before even becoming developed. Moreover, the results would be mixed as few states are already at the good side with respect to this issue and some of them are required to give proper attention. It is true that population control is necessary, and it is much required in rural areas of our country, people should be aware of birth control and should be educated about proper family planning so that they could raise the standards of their life. It's more important to encourage quality education for all so that all the citizens could understand and relate to this as well as various other socio-economical and environmental problems in a better way.

In my opinion, we can adopt a one-child policy to control our population. We can implement it for some years to reduce our population growth rate because our population is growing at a very fast rate. In some years, we will leave China behind to become the most populated country in the world. We can think about it.

One child policy can play an important role to control our population. One another reason for adopting this policy is India has the largest youth population in the world and we will remain the same for some more years. So it is possible to adopt it.

Hello everyone.

In my opinion, I think India shouldn't have one child policy. I obviously agree that our country faces lot of crisis. India lacks behind proper health services, lack of education among everyone, almost one third of population is behind poverty line. But if one child policy is implemented obviously these problems won't be reduced and it doesn't help in our economic growth. Instead to have a growth in our economy people must be well educated, they should be able to know about the family planning and also about the problems due to overpopulation. So instead of one child policy, government can implement a restriction of more than two childs.

Hello friends,

Myself Suriyabalaji,

In my point of view, One child policy is not the best solution to reduce India's population. We all know that India is the second most populous country in the world, but according to the world population review, India fertility rate ranks at number 94.

So, in my opinion, some other steps can be taken to reduce the population because One child policy may bring so many negative effects such as selective sex abortions, gender imbalance etc.

Hello everyone,

One child policy should not be implemented because if a couple can afford 2 children and they may have a chance of adopting orphans. Instead of one-child policy govt should implement a policy of adopting orphans by people who can afford for their children.
