Yes, Hindi should be our official language because we must promote our country through our national language. Talking about English, we must speak English because of today's need. We can take an example of China, as there official language is Chinese and also when the Chinese president goes in other nation's he speaks Chinese as well i.e. he is promoting country through his language. Also, our PM speaks in Hindi as well asEnglish while giving a speech. So, I feel Hindi should be our Official Language but we must speak English More as well.

For me Hindi is our mother tongue language because I belong to north India but still I cannot impose the same for all my brother from another part of the country where they belong to south India. It is not that easy for a person to be linguistic based on common assumptions. It is good for them to respect Hindi but learn based on their interest staying in their comfort zone but not necessarily to impose Hindi on them. For an example is it necessary for a Brahman to learn all vedic puran? just because he belong to the same community. The answer is NO. He should respect but learn according to his suitability. So to mug up with the very same problem English became a common ground for all of the Indians to communicate not only nationwide but internationally which is the extra plus point because all I can say this is a language which is being taught since childhood to all of us past of decades.

Absolutely not. India is known for its diversity and all religions and languages are treated equally but we have to think more than that national language should be one that everyone can speak and understand otherwise any outsider asks what is your national language, do you know this? How embarrassing it would be. If you are treating everyone's language equally, then why give importance to that one language and make it the national language? Every local language should be respected.

According to me, Hindi should be made the official language of India because in almost all the states people speak Hindi apart from their regional language. So if Hindi is made the official language the people won't face any problem. Coming up to the regional issues, I don't think any controversy would arise if this takes place because even in Pakistan many people know Hindi. By using Hindi as the official language India would go one step ahead in becoming a self-independent nation as like that of China.

Hi friends.

In my point of view, there is no need to make Hindi as an official language because in our country the numbers people in different states speaking different languages. If we make hindi as official language in leads to conflict between people. Since we have a common language (English) it certainly enough for the people in India for their conversation out of their State. At the same time there is no restrictions to learn hindi. Because hindi helps one to survive in North India.

Hindi is already an official language along with 22 other languages and it is the official language along with English for the functioning of the Union Government. Now the question is should we make it the only official language for the whole country?

My first point in opposition to this is that there are crores of people in different states who can read their mother tongue but not Hindi or English, and making Hindi the only official language of government will affect them.

The second point is that if Hindi is the mother tongue for the Hindi speaking region, then their profit will be huge but people of other states will be at a loss in their own country. The language can be learnt, yet where the Hindi speaker will study only mathematics and science, the non-Hindi speaker will have to study mathematics and science as well as the language being used in it. Today, even if an exam is conducted in English, all are equal, both Hindi speaking and non-Hindi speaking. And everyone is free to read in their own language too.

No one's gain, no one's loss!

It is a matter of fact that in a government job, everyone has to work in different states, so it is not a problem. Whenever one has to go for a job in the state, training for the language is always given.

The third point is in opposition to it that while English has already challenged our linguistic diversity, why should we eliminate this diversity? Why don't we read English in such a way that it is a language which will keep us connected to the world, else we should love our mother tongue and read and talk in it. Also reading Hindi and Dravidian languages 'in the same way, that it will keep us connected with each other.

In my opinion, Hindi is the official language of India because Hindi is a very important language. In every part of the language, Hindi is involved And learners can use it to learn through Hindi.

Hi friends,

According to me, Hindi should be an official language of India. Because in every country they have their own language as their official language like in France people speak in french, in Germany, german language is used, in Afghanistan afghani language is used to speak. So, in our country also everyone should speak Hindi and every Indian should feel proud while speaking Hindi. But somewhere I also say that everyone should know English also for communicating with ppl of other countries. But in our country, every Indian citizen should know and should speak Hindi.

And another thing most of us really like to learn a foreign language, but we don't generally prefer Hindi for speak. We should speak our Hindi language with proud and we should also try to make our language more popular in all over the world so that every people of the country should take interest to learn Hindi.

Hello.

In my opinion, yes Hindi should be the official language of India because Hindi is our mother tongue so every Indian should have knowledge of it. And also there is the line if we don't value ourselves no one will value us. The same thing is here if we don't value our culture language anyone gives a value. And we represent everywhere as an Indian first then we said about our state so what is the problem if Hindi become an official language. It will show unity in diversity also.

Hi, friends.

I agree with Pratishtha that for our development English is necessary.

Some people are saying that when British are there there is no development but I think they don't know that the development starts at that time only.

The educated people like Vivekanand, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, etc.

They are a well knower of English because of them only we are free in our nation.
