Should Hindi be the official language of India?

No, it should not be because constitution of India has also provisions for other languages.

In my opinion, yes Hindi should be the official language of India because Hindi is our mother tongue so every Indian should have knowledge of it. And also there is the line if we don't value ourselves no one will value us. The same thing is here if we don't value our culture language anyone gives a value. And we represent everywhere as an Indian first then we said about our state so what is the problem if Hindi become an official language. It will show unity in diversity also.

Hindi should be our official language. Though India has 22 languages, however, Hindi is the most widely spoken among all. Hindi is the 5th most widely spoken language in the world. India was previously known as Hindustan, land of people who speak Hindi.

75% of the country resides in villages, where most of the people speak Hindi. So it is hard for them to accept English as their official language.

English is necessary to maintain Foreign relationships, but that could be done even if English is not our official language.

If we compare India to other countries so India has only where people officially they prefer English and locally they use the Hindi language. Every country has their identical language but only India who doesn't have their identity to present their language i.e. Hindi.

First of all, I would like to tell that Language is just a way to communicate our opinion, just for understanding what other says. It does not depend upon the language, what we speak.

Yes, we are in 8th largest economy in the world so we need to speak in English for foreigners. It is not only that English is their official language but yes is it for that we Indians respect every language.

Yes, definitely Hindi should be our official language I can prove it by my own opinion I. E- we know that JAPAN is very much known for best technology in the world and their official language is Japanese and their educational language is also Japanese and nowadays they are ruling arkund the world and now turn up into China they are best for medical and their official language is Chinese and they are to ruling the world. And hence if we want more development in our educational system, daily lifestyle and in our work efficiency then our official language must be "HINDI".

Yes, definitely Hindi should be the official language because except south's states we all speak Hindi and my mother tongue is also Hindi nd I wanna clear that now we know English so I prefer English but when we start to communicate in which medium our thoughts come to our mind? Before I give any opinion, Friends I want to clear this concept about 'THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE' which was also misunderstood by me. The official language doesn't refer to a language spoken by the citizens' of a country but a language used within the government. This gives all of us a freedom to speak and refer to any language we want! which includes our mother tongue too. Also because 'official language' isn't about which language should be spoken by everyone, no person within the country will feel that there was injustice done to their mother tongue since India is a diverse nation and probably the only nation to speak many different or multilingual languages.

Though being a regular speaker of Hindi and being known to the fact the Hindi is our national language I believe Hindi should not be the official language. We should consider the South Indians as well. Majority of them don't know Hindi. It will divide the north Indians from South Indians and bring more differences. There must be a uniform language with unites us and not divides us. Also, it should be made sure that it reaches the poor ones as well. Thank you.

Hello, friends, I think Hindi should not be official language because if it will happen then it will going to be very hard for our country to make our economical relation with other countries as their language is a concern. If guise you will be ask me example then better example is campus placement. Because HR of the company may belong to other states then he will going for English language only n also to communicate with other countries people we should good in English.
