Hindi is our mother tongue language because I belong to north India but still, I cannot impose the same for all my brother from another part of the country where they belong to south India. It is not that easy for a person to be linguistic-based on common assumptions. It is good for them to respect Hindi but learn based on their interest staying in their comfort zone but not necessarily to impose Hindi on them. For example, is it necessary for a Brahman to learn all vedic Puran? just because he belongs to the same community. The answer is NO. He should respect but learn according to his suitability. So to mug up with the very same problem English became a common ground for all of the Indians to communicate not only nationwide but internationally which is the extra plus point because all I can say this is a language which is being taught since childhood to all of us past of decades.

Hello friends.

Should Hindi be the official language of India?

Hindi is our mother tongue, all peoples speak Hindi clearly and perfectly. Most of states people speak hindi. Our India has 22 languages but Hindi is the most popular language of India foreigners are also like Hindi The Hindi language gives our nation the name of HINDUSTAN. SO we should be proud of hindi language. Our constitution has also declared HINDI As an official language of India in the YEAR 1950.

According to me. There is no any language that should be official. There are 29 states in India and many states have their own language and that is official for them for that part of India.

Yes, Hindi should be our official language. Though India has 22 languages, however Hindi is the most widely spoken among all. Hindi is the 5th most widely spoken language in the world. India was previously known as Hindustan, land of people who speak Hindi.

75% of the country resides in villages, where most of the people speak Hindi. So it is hard for them to accept English as their official language.

English is necessary to maintain Foreign relationships, but that could be done even if English is not our official language.

I do not agree with the statement that Hindi should be official language of India as most of the people in India do not speak Hindi there are many other languages also who different people speak in different regions of India. AND for those who are saying that Hindi should be official language for protecting our culture and our heritage they should first go and find out more information because as far as my knowledge in India people firstly use to speak Sanskrit and many books like RAMAYAN MAHABHARAT were written in Sanskrit. So I think all languages should be given equal importance.

Hello.

I am in favour of this statement that Hindi should be our official language.

Many people are saying that the development of our country can be done with English but I oppose this statement because as we know that there was the rule of British here for approximately 200 years then why our country doesn't develop by that time with English used by Britishers?

From the point of view, that our country is developing rapidly with Hindi.

So, according to me, Hindi should be the official language of India.

Thanks.

Hello! Now, I am in favour of English. If we go for trade in foreign countries then we have to know English to communicate with foreigners. English is our international or global language. So we should know English.

Thanks.

Hello everyone.

My name is Sandeep Kumar.

Yes, Hindi should be the official language in India, because most of the total population are spoken Hindi and should speak Hindi because of mother tongue. If we will distribute India in northern and southern states, we will find maximum no of people who are spoken Hindi but minimum people speak Hindi in southern states.

As we all know that Hindi is in 5th language in the world. If the Hindi gets the official language in India, many uneducated persons can keep their talk in any office because most of all regional language is connected with Hindi, I think that all most people can speak in Hindi and keep the situation in front of officers, and also I accept English but besides Hindi, English should learn, because English is the common language in the world.

In my view, India is a big country and people have different regional languages, which make it difficult for them to convey their thoughts. And a language acts as a medium of conversation between the two or more people. When people do not understand what the other person is saying it becomes very difficult for us to help him. So in India there is a huge need for a common national language. Now Hindi is very popular in the northern states while the southern prefer to speak English but more people can understand Hindi easily so Hindi should be the national language.
